Liu Liwei, Glyph Community Limited // Young Changemakers!
The team believes that for actionable change to take place, we have to educate and increase awareness of the issue at hand. Through the course of this 12-week programme, participants (aged 7 to 12 years old) will learn about sustainability and food security in the local context, and why we need to support local produce through a series of non-academic activities. The aim is to provide holistic education opportunities to children from underprivileged families and given the right opportunities and guidance, these children can be the change makers of tomorrow. These programme will incorporate classroom sessions, projects, fieldtrip and mentorship to inculcate soft skills such as empathy, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
