John Tan

John Tan is the Founding President of Youth Work Association Singapore, an organization he helped set up together with a band of youth work veterans.
He is currently the Executive Director of Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (also known as CARE Singapore), a youth-serving charity that he founded with a bunch of like-minded friends in 1997.
On a global level, John served as the immediate past vice-chairperson of the Commonwealth Alliance of Youth Work Associations (CAYWA).
John considers himself a lifelong advocate of youth work, having been involved in developing and engaging youths since the late 1980s.
