Lin Wei

Lin Wei is a passionate design advocate, mentor, business coach, educator, and founder of United Design Practice (UDP). His multi-disciplinary design studio UDP has won over 40 international accolades across diverse design disciplines, including branding, advertising, product design, interiors, animation, and exhibitions, from institutions such as A' Design, the American Architecture Prize, the International Design Award, Graphis Design Annual, LIT Lighting Design, and Vega Digital. His distinguished career in China includes leading creative teams for Jack Morton Beijing, Saatchi & Saatchi Beijing, and TBWA Shanghai, where he assisted clients like Lexus, Dior, Lancôme, Pepsi, and Martell in shaping brand perceptions and gaining market share in foreign markets. His studio, UDP, helped transform local Chinese enterprises into global contenders by guiding them through the transition from OEM and ODM stages to brand ownership and international export.
Beyond his practice, he has consulted for Design Singapore, served as a juror for awards such as Design Shanghai, SG Mark, the Singapore Prestige Brand Awards, and imparted his expertise as an adjunct faculty member at institutions of higher learning including Singapore University of Technology and Design, Nanyang Polytechnic, and Singapore Institute of Technology.
